Implementation Date 01/09/2007 For more information contact 0207 035 8664 Email RewardTeam@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk This Circular is addressed to Chief Officers of Police England and Wales Copies are being sent to Police Authority Chief Executive Broad Subject Police Service Sub Category Police pay and conditions Pay The circular publicises the Secretary of State's decision to amend the implementation dates of London Weighing to the 1 July 2007 and Dog Handler's Allowance and Competence Related Threshold Payment to the 1 September 2007. London Weighting, Dog Handlers' Allowance and Competence Related Threshold Payments are clearly separable elements of the 2007 award and the Home Secretary has further considered their implementation taking account of the relative size of the amounts involved, and decided that they do not need to be staged in order to deliver an award that is affordable and consistent with government pay policy.
There are no further changes to the main 2007 pay awards as sent out in HOC35/2007. The following amendments are as follows: London Weighting London Weighting is increased from £2055 to £2106 with effect from 1 July 2007. Dog Handler's Allowance Dog Allowance is increased from £1926 to £1974 with effect from 1 September 2007 Competence Related Threshold Payment (CRTP) The Competence Related Threshold Payment is increased from £1095 to £1122 with effect from 1 September 2007. This is published in PNB Circular 4 of 2007. Note: · There are no further changes to the decisions made on the 2007 Police Pay Awards · These decisions will be set out in determinations on which the PNB will be consulted on drafts. Authorities and Forces are advised to act in line with this circular with immediate effect. |
