Group Insurance Scheme / Pensioner Scheme
From April 1st 2010 all retiring officers will be invited to transfer to the NEW Retired Group Scheme, there are no application forms or health declarations required, if you have been subscribing to our Member Scheme then you have full right of passage into the new scheme.
The NEW scheme has a series of enhanced benefits; you can access the Full Policy Document by clicking here.
Members must have subscribed to the Federation Group Insurance Scheme and be doing so at retirement to be eligible to apply to continue with scheme after retirement.
If a retiring member wishes to include their spouse in the continuation option, he/she must have subscribed to this option whilst serving and be doing so at the time of retirement.

Partner of Retired Officer
to age under 60: £25,000 includes a Terminal Prognosis Benefit of 20% of sum insured
age 60 to 64 inclusive: £12,500 includes a Terminal Prognosis Benefit of 20% of sum insured
age 65 to 69 inclusive: £2,500
Worldwide cover for up to 30 days travel, UK cover requires a minimum 1 night stay to validate, health declarations may be required prior to travel, if you or any of your party are affected please check with the Federation office before you travel.

Currently costs (2010) £26.00 per pay period
Life Cover is also available at £6.25 per pay period for your spouse or partner.

How Do I Join?
You are entitled to apply to join the scheme if you are/were subscribing to the Group Insurance Scheme whilst serving. Once we are notified of your impending retirement we will write to you (or you can call us) and let you know what you need to do to apply for the retirement scheme.
